Regional Development Agency Srem and the team of the project Support to rural and regional development in the Republic of Serbia (Project) funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, organized the second workshop “Analysis of the status of the formation of partnerships”. The project is implemented by the consortium of partners NIRAS (Poland, Denmark), FAOW (Poland) and Partner Solutions (Serbia) with the period of realization November 2015 – January 2019.
At the previous workshop, representatives of public, private and civil sector in Srem agreed on priority areas that are considered to represent regional initiative because they have the character and the potential for further development of agriculture, tourism, energy efficiency/renewable energy resources. Milan Miric, Director of RDA Srem and Sanja Stupar, project manager, presented the models of the proposed partnerships/initiatives. During a workshop the representatives of all three sectors, led by the consulting project team, took an active part in the reconsideration of the structure of partnerships, analysis of the proposed topics and activities in accordance with Project criteria.
On this occasion, the workshop was attended by Vladimir Prebiračević, the Assistant Secretary for Energy and Mineral Resources, and pointed out that the Government of AP Vojvodina is ready to support good initiatives and projects and that the RDA Srem institution from which such projects are expected.
In the following period, on the suggestions received during the workshops, RDA Srem will organize individual meetings with representatives of the three initiatives to be defined and finalized effective partnerships and activities. This is an extremely important step having in mind that the deadline for the submission of rural/regional initiatives is October 17, 2016, which provides the conditions for financing the project ideas in the amount of 1.62 million CHF.
