On the 3rd of July 2013, National Agency for Regional Development, with the support of RDA Srem, organized a workshop in the premises of the City Hall of Ruma in order to implement the project development plan of implementation and support of the brand for sub-region of Drina. Holders of the „Programme for the development of the Drina“, in front of the Serbian Ministry of regional Development and Local Government and the front of the Serbian Government, Ministry of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation, signed an agreement on inter-regional cooperation. The aim of the workshop was to establish a Focus group for the Municipalities of Šid, Sremska Mitrovica, Šabac and Bogatić. In the presence of the representatives of the municipalities of Šid, Sremska Mitrovica and Bogatić and RDA Srem, the Focus group has collected the relevant information about the municipalities, their development and tourism potentials.
Moderator of the workshop was Mr Djordje Ćelić, from the „Millistem Consulting“ whose role was to help, through joint discussion, discuss and define the basis for creating brand sub-region Drina and thus to determine the scope for future investments and accelerated socio-economic development.
