In Novi Becej, on 29th March, protocols on cooperation in designing of the project-technical documentation for the five regional projects have been signed between the State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy in charge of the NIP programme, Mr Milan Djokic, and directors of regional development agencies – Srem, Banat, Sumadija and Morava region. Over 38 million RSD are allocated for this purpose by NIP. On that occasion, Djokic said that cooperation with regional development agencies is of a crucial importance because they are in the best position to identify projects that focus on improving regional infrastructure and development. One of the projects for which the NIP is funded in Srem “Detailed design of construction of main pipelines within the regional water supply system “Eastern Srem”.
“This project will provide the optimal transit of water produced on the spring at “Fisher’s farm” and its further transportation to the pumping station “Borkovac” and further, to the settlements in the municipality of Ruma. This project will also solve the question of water supply in the Municipality Irig. These projects have a regional approach to infrastructure development and RDA Srem will always be ready to support such projects and for their application. The length of the main pipeline will be 12 km. Preparation and design of project-technical documentation is the first step in this project “- said the director of the RDA Srem, Mr. Milan Miric.
