studije_biogas_01Regional Development Agency Srem, within the GIZ DKTI project “Development of a sustainable bioenergy market in the region of Srem”, on August 25, 2017, realized the fifth session of the Inter-Municipal  Working Group on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources (MORG EE and RES), which ends one-year cooperation on the project with the German organization for international cooperation, GIZ DKTI.

The selected processor, Green Mile Team from Novi Sad, presented the final versions of the Feasibility Study for the launch of biogas production and the establishment of biogas plants at agricultural farms in Srem. Feasibility studies were made for the identified households in Novi Slankamen, Gibarac, Krnješevci and Jarak. As part of the presentation, the processor briefly looked at models for considering the potential capacity of agricultural households, the common parameters that include project financing as well as other fixed parameters that have to be taken into account when calculating the remaining costs that accompany a biogas plant. These expenses are related to the raw material costs, maintenance of facilities, maintenance of equipment, maintenance of CHP units, labour costs, costs of consumed energy, insurance costs, etc. Data processing results showed that 190KW plants would be the most cost-effective and safest investment for the mentioned households in Srem.

In the continuation of the session, Milan Miric, director of RDA Srem, briefly gave a presentation of the activities and results of the project with GIZ DKTI. The project platform consisted of activities in the public, private and civil sectors, in the direction of building capacities for identifying and launching projects in the field of renewable energy resources. It is important to note that the IMWG members for EE and RES had several trainings within the project with GIZ DKTI and four farms with the highest potential were selected, out of the proposed twelve, who were applying for the Study. The central activity of this project was the work of the IMWG for EE and RES as the specificity of the project. The work of the members of the expert committee was also very significant and of crucial importance since the large number of field data were collected and four farms were selected according to the collected data and four pre-feasibility studies were prepared.

The closing session of IMWG EE and OIE was attended by Marijana Nikolić, project manager GIZ DKTI.
