Today is the deadline for submission of completed project applications for the cross-border Programme Serbia – Croatia.
RDA Srem participated in this call with six projects of which it participates as a leading applicant in one and in other five projects as a partner. The efforts of the RDA Srem were directed towards development issues and the representation of the entire Srem region in these projects.
Through the project applications, the most represented issues were in the field of tourism development, renewable energy sources, environmental protection in the field of sustainable agriculture, construction waste management, etc.
Certainly, one of the direct benefits of this call is that during the time of preparation of projects, the cross-border partnerships was realised through work of joint project teams on both sides of the border. This represents a significant resource for future cooperation with the Republic of Croatia regarding its very recent entry into the EU. The position of Serbia and the region of Srem will be located as the district with very intense cooperation and the withdrawal of EU funds, i.e. in a position that Croatia used to have as a candidate. RDA Srem will be ready for these circumstances and become a leader of development in the region.
