TakeCare_OBSM_martIn the General hospital of Sremska Mitrovica, promotion of the Project “Take care” – Developing and improving health and social services for the vulnerable social groups was held in the scope of the Interreg IPA cross-border programme Croatia-Serbia 2014.2020.

The Project is in progress, and the period of implementation is from 15.06.2017 to14.02.2019. Total budget of the project is 939.505.50 euros,

The lead applicant of the project is „Bubamara“ Association of persons with disabilities from Vinkovci, while the partners are General hospital Sremska Mitrovica, Regional Development Agency from Ruma as well as Home for the elderly from Ilok.

„Our role is to support this significant project in technical terms, which includes preparing and implementing procedures and skills for this form of taking care of the patients. It is nice to see successful application of the activities, given that the topics are very appealing to the EU funds. It is important that the strategy of palliative care exists in Serbia, and we will transfer this experience to other regions as well – said Milan Miric,director of the Regional Development Agency Srem, which initiated the project and connected the partners from Croatia with the partners from Serbia.

The fact that in the last two months aid was provided to more than 100 patients justifies the project for the entire Srem region.
