After a very successful meeting with representatives of the Osijek- Baranja County, held last month in Ruma, representatives of RDA Srem visited colleagues in the Agency of Slavonia and Baranja.
Director of the most successful Croatian agency, Stjepan Ribic and board member Zvonimir Klobucar, have always been willing to share their experiences and their points of view on current topics of regional development.
The main aim of the visit was to identify concrete joint projects for which the funding would be sought on the following CBC calls for proposals on cross border co-operation, which should be opened by the end of this year. Besides the analysis of potential project theme, there were other potential partners on the Croatian side that have been taken into account regarding that the Agency of Slavonia and Baranja is currently focused on large million worth projects because of Croatia’s accession to the EU.
Director of RDA Srem, Milan Mirić, and project manager Zoran Radakovic, had the opportunity to ask many important questions concerning the challenges that await the agency in the future. It is especially important if it is taken into account that Serbia is waiting the exact date of the start of negotiations for full membership in the European Union, which would open the possibility for a much larger withdrawal from the pre-accession funds.
