In Novi Sad, 8 and 9 April, a two-day day workshop for potential project applicants was held under the IPA Cross-border Programme Croatia-Serbia 2007-2013 where was announced and launched the third call for project proposals. Cross-border cooperation (CBC) is an important part of the regional policy of the European Union that seeks to minimize the social inequalities between EU regions. The goal of cross-border cooperation is to moderate the negative effects of the limits to the social and economic situation in cross-border areas. The overall objective of the program is to encourage cross-border cooperation to diversify and improve the regional economy in a socially and environmentally sustainable manner while improving the cross-border neighbourly relations.
The purpose of the establishment of cross-border cooperation between partners is promotion of diversity and improvement of the regional economy for the society and the environment, in a sustainable manner as well as building the capacity of local, regional and national institutions to manage EU programs.
At this workshop, Sanja Stupar, Tanja Mijajlović and Jovana Dimov successfully represented RDA Srem.
